My, it has been a few months since the last study. It just seems like time passes so quickly. I had not realized that it has been months since the last study. Let's talk about time.
The Bible teaches us to redeem the time in Ephesians 5:16. Redeem meaning to make wise use of. It is so easy to waste time. To spend time on things that take away from drawing closer to the Lord. The word of God tells us to redeem time because the days are evil. The Bible also tells us that evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived. The believer has to guard themselves from all the devices and things this world has that will take the mind off of Jesus Christ and living a holy life.
Time can get away from you if you are not careful. Something innocent and harmless can begin to take up the believers time and begin to remove God's word from the heart.
The Bible says, "The days of our years are threescore years and ten, and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years; yet is their strength about and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away." Psalms 90:10
Seventy or eighty years is not a lot of time. How do you spend it? Twenty four hours in a day. How do you spend them? Three hundred sixty five days in a year. How do you spend them? One hundred and twenty hours in a week. How many of those hours are spent in church, bible study, prayer, fasting?
