The Bible teaches to train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
In Deuteronomy chapter six, the Lord commands the His word be taught diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou fittest in thine house, and when thou walkers by the way, and when thou lies down, and when thou risest up (Deu. 6:7) Question....are the Saints doing this? Or are the children seeing parents act one way at church and another way at home? The Lord is not pleased with such. Are the parents praying at home? Having Bible study at home? Doing things with their children that the word teaches? Or is the parent looking for ways to keep their children entertained? Are the parents always late to church so the children don't see anything wrong with being late either. Do the parents talk against the church, the pastor, the word of God? Do the parents do unseeingly things and the children grow up thinking it is ok to do the same? Do the parents live online and so the children grow up doing the same? One thing I know for sure, the word of God does not change. God requires holiness. Parents are required by God to teach their children the word of God and how to love the Lord. Parents are instructed by God to teach them daily from the time they get up until the time the go to bed. Does this mean have Bible study and church all day? No. Children learn the most by what the hear and see their parents do. Children come into the world a blank slate. Clean. Clean mind and heart. Then what do parents allow to go into the hearts of their children by what the parents exposes the child to. Anyone with any age on them remembers how children were not allowed to be in the room with grown folks when they were talking. Growing up I never heard my grandparents talk about anyone, curse or disrespect anyone. I never saw them argue with each other either. Thank you Jesus. But today, what are children being exposed to? What are parents allowing to share the thoughts of young people? God said to teach them, train them His ways. Parent, guardian- what are you teaching your children?

The ministry is not a game or a joke. The work of the ministry is to save souls by making disciples that at some point repent of their sins and be converted to Saints. The work of the ministry is to feed the Saints and help perfect them to the will of God.
The church is not positions, conferences, conventions and elevations. This is not what Jesus died for. The church is not a dance hall or entertainment center. The church is not for movies and game night. Not the church that Jesus purchased with his blood. So next time you go looking for a church, look for what is preached that the Bible teaches not fair speeches that do no bring about repentance. Marvel not, you must be born again. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
In the book of Acts chapter 3, Peter and John were on their way to the temple to pray. At the gate of the temple was a lame man asking alms of those that entered. When the lame man saw Peter and John, he asked them for alms too. Peter fastened his eyes on the man and said, "Look on us". The man gave heed to what was said. The Peter said unto him, "silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." Peter then took the man by the hand, lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, waling, and leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:1-8). When people began to ask what happened, Peter answered them. Peter let it be known that that same Jesus that whom they denied, that Holy and just one that they denied. That one that they desired to be killed and a murderer to be loses instead is how made the lame man hold. Then when you go to Acts chapter 4:2, you will see where the priests, captain of the temple and the Sadducees were grieved that "they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. But wait a minute. When Peter was preaching to the people and telling them what had just taken place, does the scripture state that Peter mentioned Jesus being raised from the dead? No. Peter was preaching to them about the power of Jesus Christ to bring deliverance. Peter was preaching to them what Jesus can do. But, the priests, captain of the temple and the Sadducees missed the message. They were so ingrained with their false teaching that they did not hear what Peter was saying. How many do this today? How many today hold fast to false teaching and doctrine when the truth is presented to them and they missed the message? Many have problem with the baptism. The Bible is clear that one must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Very clear. But how many ,miss that message? This is the time we are living in now. Everyone wants the blessings but not the blessor (Jesus Christ). Many reject the truth of the Gospel as if God is going to change it for them. Peter and John were put in jail (hold) because of the truth. The truth will NEVER change. In Acts 3:19, Peter told the people to "repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord". When one makes this change, then he or she will no longer miss what God has said and what the Lord is saying. Did you miss the message? "Now when they heard this they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall be do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."- Acts 2:38 Did you miss the message? |
