Every time you hear the Gospel preached, Jesus is calling unto you. Those that profess salvation, Jesus is calling out to you also.
Just talking about Jesus and the word of God is not enough. Salvation involves a change of heart and will. When salvation comes, the will of a person changes to that of Christ. The Bible, the word of God, becomes the guide once salvation comes. It is a misnomer to believe that a person can continue to live any kind of way and still be saved. The bible teaches to forsake not the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is. Assembling in a local church that teaches and preaches the word of God is a must. For faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. One has to hear the word preached and taught to them to obtain salvation and remain in salvation. There is no such thing as once saved always saved. No such thing. Seek the Lord. Do not allow ungodly teaching to enter your heart. Come to Jesus while you yet have time. "And, behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." Revelation 22:12

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 Then, Jesus said in John 18:37b, "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice." Then, in the very next verse, 38, Pilate asks the question, "What is truth?"
The Bible is the infallible word of god. The Bible is god (John 1:1). The Bible teaches against sin, evil and falsehood. The Bible tells a soul how to live to escape hell. Even in 2017, the word of God is still true. It is to be obeyed and followed to go to Heaven. Even when the mores of society allow for things the Bible teaches against, the Bible is to be followed if a soul wants to go to Heaven. There is not private interpretation. The problem is too many have been allowed to handle the word of God without the Holy Ghost. Knowing the letter without the Holy Ghost to lead and guide through the word, is a spiritual death sentence. For the Bible says, "the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." II Corinthians 3:6 If you do not have the Holy Ghost, stop handling the word of God. |
