#Obedience,#obeyGod

Abraham was tried by God to see if he would give up all for Him. To see if he would deny and give up his son Isaac because the Lord told him to. Abraham was tested to see if he would obey the Lord concerning that which he loved, his son. The Bible lets us know that without hesitation or question Abraham rose up early and took two men along with his son to go and make the burnt offering, his son. Abraham built an altar, laid the wood in order, bound his son and laid him on the altar. Then Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son. Then God stepped in. An angel of the Lord called out to Abraham. The angel of the Lord told Abraham not to lay hand on the lad nor do anything unto him. For Abraham proved to God that he loved God more than anything or anyone. And, in the thicket Abraham saw a ram and offered the ram for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And for the act of willingness to offer his only son up to God the Word says, "That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; BECAUSE THOU HAST OBEYED MY VOICE.
Genesis 22:1-18

The blessing of God are based on obedience and a heart and life that puts the Lord first in all things. Nothing should be put before the Lord. Nothing and no one.
"The said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 16:24

To obey is better than sacrifice.
