We use to sing a song that says, 'I don't know why Jesus loves me. I don't know why He cares. I don't know why he sacrificed His life, Oh but I'm glad, so glad He did."
I thank God that Jesus died for the sins of the world. I thank God that Jesus died for my sins. Mankind is born into sin. All of mankind needs the blood of Jesus to wash away their sins and bring their soul to salvation. No one is exempt. Pride keeps a person from acknowledging the need to repent of the sin in his or her life. But oh, if men, women, boys and girls could understand what Jesus did for them. God put on flesh and called the flesh Son, and gave it a name, Jesus. Jesus came to this earth to die for the sins of mankind. Jesus allowed his own, the Jews, to lead him to be crucified on the cross. And Jesus never said a word. Jesus let them lead Him from judgment hall to judgment hall, but they could find no fault in him. Oh, thank you Jesus! Then Jesus let them lead him the Golgotha (the place of a skull) to be hung a cross until he died! They pierced him in his side. Blood and water spilled from his side. And yet, Jesus still did not say a word. When Jesus asked for a drink as he died on the cross, he was given vinegar to drink (Matthew 27:34). Oh, what a price Jesus paid so souls could be saved. No wonder the scriptures says, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid." Romans 6:1,2a Hell is real and failure to repent of sin and accept and allow what Jesus Christ died for to work in your life is such a waste. Eternity is a long time to burn in hell. It's time to repent.
