Praise the Lord!!
There is a song that speaks to all of my appointed time I am going to wait til my change comes. Waiting on the Lord requires patience. The scripture says, "let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing- James 1:4.". The scriptures says, "in your patience possess ye your souls"- Luke 21:19. Part of salvation is being to wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord-Psalms 27:14. James 1:3 puts it like this: "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." This verse lets it be known that your faith will be tried. And it is tried to prove what is in your heart. The lord will always be faithful to His word. But will those that profess to be His be faithful to Him? The three Hebrew boys were put in a trial. They were taken from their home land and put into a place they did not choose under king Nebuchadnezzar. While in that land the three were given positions of prominence. Then in the book of Daniel chapter 3, King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. This gathering would include the 3 Hebrew boys. After they all came together instruction was given to that when these heard the sound of all kind of music, they are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. All those that did not bow down to the image would be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. But the 3 Hebrew boys did not bow down. The stood. When the King made good on the threat to cast those that did not bow into the furnace, they still stood. When the 3 Hebrew boys go thrown into the furnace, they still stood and the God of Heaven stood with them. What a testimony to the power of God to keep those that wait on Him and that stand for HIm. Just think about it. They were facing being burned to death because they would not bow to a strange god. They saw two men get burned that heated up the flames in the fiery furnace hotter than it had been. But the Hebrew boys did not bow. What a testimony. Jesus told his followers, "these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world".- John 16:33 Wait on HIm..
